BenJAMIN Shingles
Benjamin Shingles aims for the edge of painting. He paints repeated images sourced from photographs aiming to imbue these forms with an existential crisis as to the purpose or origin of his created objects. Are they to be considered paintings? Would it be more appropriate to consider them as prints or photographs? Through a searching process of repetition Ben Shingles aims to enact this mental journey for the viewer spatially.
