SAY YES consists of a series of audience activated performance works in which artists and participants provide a set of instructions or parameters for action. The work itself is created in the act of performance at times reaching beyond the bounds of the gallery space. Coming out of conversations between the curators about ways in which active strategies of art making can reach beyond the theatre, gallery and studio. This show includes work that instructs the audience to speak and perform as practitioners and importantly to provide instruction themselves creating an exchange of information, purpose and experience.
