Finn Marchant

Nursery rhymes uses projected and screen based in conjunction with sound and wall painting work to explore the changing nature of authorship online. Using the aesthetics of  "child friendly" content Marchant creates an immersive environment in which the audience becomes a part of a work of produced through outsourced labour and algorithmically generated preferences.

Finn Marchant is a Sydney based artist working across installation and digital media. He has exhibited and curated both locally and interstate, most recently in a collaborative show with Nicholas Aloisio-Shearer at Bus Projects in Melbourne. Marchant completed a Bachelor of Design in Photography and Situated Media (Honours) in 2014 at UTS where he is also currently undertaking a PhD.
