Life After Love
Nathan Nhan
Life After Love presents a body of ceramic works by Canberra based artist Nathan Nhan. Nhan uses the vessel as a vehicle to communicate the eternal within the enduring material of ceramics. Combining this with the trope of love in popular culture, Nhan appropriates grecian vessel forms to capture the emotions evoked by lyrics from sentimental love songs. Experimenting with the forms of grecian ceramics, Nhan creates a dynamic and playful exploration of the materiality of ceramics as a vehicle to communicate love as an object of endurance.
