Lightweight is a collaborative installation by Kendall Manz and Ruby Rossiter, born from the joy of ethereal light. Their creative process has been driven by a joint intuitive exploration of unconventional materials, searching for those glimmering moments of illumination, reflection, refraction, transfusion. This lighthearted, mixed-media installation is an artificial reconstruction of the natural sublime. Objects distort and interact with light, utilising both the tangible and intangible. Light, therefore, is a form and material in itself and weightiness and weightlessness are consciously performed and distorted.
