A RING OF BODIES situates Esther Carlin and Eva Lazzaro’s interests in spatial and physical configurations of anxiety and relatedness. Working between sculpture, text and video, the two artists seek to map an encounter with the world through forms and places, both virtual and real. Focusing on the convergence of personal unease, and the cultural arenas in which anxieties surrounding death, flight and statehood exist, their work explores the porousness and luminosity of certain technologies and how they affect our bodies.
