Community Guidelines is concerned with the possibility of community and asks if there can be a community of individuals that is truly communal. The idea of a true community in many people's experience requires an avowal and/or registration of membership. In doing so, this act automatically creates borders and criteria in which one can identify those individuals who are not desirable and/or are in violation of the community’s terms. This exhibition hopes to open up discourse around communities surrounding artist run spaces.
