Adaptation

I like to see the hollow forms I make as tunnel beings that are in motion, transporting myself into various places, them being physical or/and emotional places. Sometimes these beings exist by themselves and other times I choose to pair them with objects that I find. These objects are usually crude in their appearance, they have a sense of rawness that I find to be beautiful. I have the need to somewhat manipulate these objects in order to make them mine. In the process of creating my clay forms paired with my found objects a paradox is brought into existence. The clay body adapts and becomes dependent on the object and vice versa, they cannot exist without each other. Together they exist and are simultaneously trapped in a still moment.
